چکیده

Abstract High-resolution Moho and lithosphere–asthenosphere boundary depth models for Vietnam its surrounding areas are determined based on a recently released geoid model constructed from surface satellite gravity data (GEOID_LSC_C model) 3?? resolution topography (mixed SRTM model). A linear density gradient the crust temperature-dependent lithospheric mantle were used to determine structure under assumption of local isostasy. In first step, impact correcting elevation sedimentary basins estimate has been evaluated using CRUST1.0 model. Results obtained test area where seismic available, which demonstrated that effect should be considered before inversion process. The height elevation-corrected layer filtered remove signals originating below lithosphere. resulting computed at 1? against as well global available in study region. These comparisons indicate consistency our estimation with within 1.5 km standard deviation whole Vietnam. This new region represents significant improvement over GEMMA, have deviations 3.2 3.3 km, respectively, when compared data. A Gravimetric Geoid Model as a Vertical Datum in Canada

The need for a new vertical datum in Canada dates back to 1976 when a study group at the Geodetic Survey Division (GSD) of Natural Resources Canada investigated problems related to the existing vertical reference system (CGVD28) and recommended a redefinition of the vertical datum. The US National Geodetic Survey and GSD cooperated in the development of a new North American Vertical Datum (NAVD...

Gravimetric Geoid Determination by Using Terrestrial and Satellite-derived Data

Being a fundamental vertical reference surface, the use of the geoid is not limited to geodesy/geodetic applications. It is also used, but not limited to, in geophysics (i.e. interpretation of the Earth’s internal structure, solid earth science), geology (i.e. subsurface delineation), oceanography, and mapping/geographic information systems (GIS)/national spatial development infrastructure (NSD...

A Deep Model for Super-resolution Enhancement from a Single Image

This study presents a method to reconstruct a high-resolution image using a deep convolution neural network. We propose a deep model, entitled Deep Block Super Resolution (DBSR), by fusing the output features of a deep convolutional network and a shallow convolutional network. In this way, our model benefits from high frequency and low frequency features extracted from deep and shallow networks...

Progress Towards a Gravimetric Geoid for New Zealand and a Single National Vertical Datum

New Zealand, unlike most countries, does not have a single national vertical datum. Instead, twelve separate and poorly linked primary levelling networks tied to twelve different tide gauges are used. The current vertical datums are based on the false assumption that mean sea level, measured at the twelve tide gauges, corresponds to the same equipotential surface. Due to the effects of long-per...

High-resolution lithospheric imaging with seismic interferometry

In recent years, there has been an increase in the deployment of relatively dense arrays of seismic stations. The availability of spatially densely sampled global and regional seismic data has stimulated the adoption of industry-style imaging algorithms applied to convertedand scattered-wave energy from distant earthquakes, leading to relatively high-resolution images of the lower crust and upp...
